Full traceability

Every KAPPA luminaire has its own unique identity

Every bespoke KAPPA linear luminaire is designed to last. That is why we have implemented a comprehensive traceability system that allows us to track each product throughout its life cycle.

Each luminaire is assigned a unique manufacturing number linked to its production date and all the components used in its assembly: LED strips, aluminium profiles, diffusers, end caps and connectors.

This precise identification enables us to instantly retrieve a luminaire’s manufacturing history, even several years after its installation. In the event of servicing, maintenance or the replacement of parts, our teams can quickly identify the original components to ensure perfect compatibility and optimal recommissioning.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions and answers

An indoor linear light fixture is an LED lighting system designed to emit uniform light along its entire length. It can be installed as a pendant, surface-mounted, recessed, or integrated into a profile to create elegant, continuous lines of light. These fixtures are particularly popular in offices, retail spaces, hotels, commercial spaces, and interior design projects.

Linear LED fixtures offer excellent energy efficiency, a long service life, and high visual comfort. They also allow for the creation of custom light lines that blend seamlessly with a building’s architecture. Thanks to their numerous customization options (length, power, color temperature, and diffuser), they meet the requirements of professional projects.

An LED strip is a flexible light source designed to be integrated into a profile or suitable mounting bracket. A linear lighting fixture is a complete system that includes the profile, diffuser, power supply, and components necessary to ensure high-performance, uniform, and long-lasting lighting. It is a professional, ready-to-install solution.

Linear lighting fixtures are suitable for a wide range of environments:

• offices and open-plan spaces;

• meeting rooms;

• retail stores and boutiques;

• hotels and restaurants;

• schools;

• healthcare facilities;

• lobbies;

• upscale residential spaces.

Their sleek design highlights the space while providing comfortable lighting.

The choice depends on the desired ambiance:

• 2,700 to 3,000 K: warm light for hotels, restaurants, and residential spaces.

• 4,000 K: neutral light, ideal for offices, retail spaces, and workspaces.

• 5,000 to 6,500 K: cool light suitable for certain technical or industrial environments.

The right color temperature improves visual comfort and the perception of spaces.

Each diffuser provides a specific lighting effect. We offer several types of diffusers:

• Transparent diffuser offering maximum light output.

• Frosted diffuser that reduces glare while maintaining excellent light output.

• Opal diffuser producing a perfectly uniform light line, with no visible LED dots.

Yes. A custom linear light fixture can be designed according to the project’s specific dimensions, wattage, color temperatures, finishes, and technical requirements. This customization ensures seamless integration into any architectural setting.

Linear luminaires can be manufactured in a variety of lengths and assembled to create continuous lines of light spanning several meters. The dimensions are determined based on the project’s requirements and the desired lighting performance.

Depending on the project, a linear light fixture can be:

• suspended;

• recessed;

• surface-mounted;

• integrated into a system.

The choice depends on the desired aesthetic, the ceiling height, and the building’s technical constraints.

A professional LED linear light fixture typically has a lifespan of between 30,000 and 50,000 hours, or even longer, depending on the quality of the components and the conditions of use. This longevity reduces maintenance requirements and the overall cost of operation.

A custom-designed luminaire allows for precise adjustment of the length, wattage, luminous flux, color temperature, diffuser type, and accessories to meet the project’s specific needs. This customization ensures better architectural integration, optimal performance, and simplified installation.

KAPPA linear lighting fixtures are designed for indoor use and custom-manufactured in France at the LEDIT YAKI workshop. Available with a variety of diffusers, they allow for the creation of custom lighting lines that meet the requirements of architects, engineering firms, interior designers, and installers.
